Emporia, Kansas – ESB Insurance and Financial Services is pleased to welcome Jeremy Rusco to its team as Business Development.

Rusco brings nearly two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and business owner. He founded Dynamic Discs while attending Emporia State University and grew the company from a small eBay business into an internationally recognized disc golf brand headquartered in Emporia. His work included sales, marketing, financial management, strategic planning and building relationships with customers and business partners around the world.

A Great Bend native, Rusco moved to Emporia in 2004 and earned his degree in Business Administration from Emporia State University in 2006. Through his service on ESB Financial’s Board of Directors, he developed a deeper understanding of the bank’s leadership, culture and commitment to the communities it serves. That experience helped shape his decision to join ESB Insurance and Financial Services. As part of this transition, Rusco is stepping down from the board.

“Financial services offers an opportunity to apply my business experience in a different way while continuing to learn, build relationships, and help people work toward their goals,” Rusco said. “It’s a career I can see myself enjoying and growing in for many years.”

Rusco will work alongside Fred Harder and Angi Ehr, focusing on learning the business and getting to know the team and clients as he prepares for his future role.

“Fred has spent decades developing relationships and earning the trust of his clients,” Rusco said. “My immediate priority is to listen, learn, and become as knowledgeable and helpful as possible. I recognize that trust is earned over time, and I want to approach this opportunity with that mindset.”

Throughout his career, Rusco has supported local organizations, events and economic development efforts. He and his wife, Wendy, have two children, Hampton and Hutton, and are proud to call Emporia home.

“Emporia has been incredibly supportive of me and my businesses over the years,” Rusco said. “Being able to give back and help others succeed is something that’s very important to me.”
