ESB Financial Welcomes Kevin Sweatland as Manhattan Market President

ESB Financial is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Sweatland as the new Manhattan Market President. With more than 25 years of experience in commercial banking and a deep-rooted passion for supporting local businesses, Kevin brings expertise and leadership to ESB’s Manhattan team.

Kevin’s career in banking began in retail banking, where he quickly established himself as a leader, earning national recognition for his team’s performance at Bank of America. His career path led him into commercial lending, working with community banks in the Kansas City area, and most recently, serving as a senior leader at Andover State Bank. During his nine-year tenure, he played a key role in significantly expanding the bank’s assets while leading both the commercial and treasury management teams.

“I’ve managed both retail and commercial banking teams, giving me a unique understanding of all roles within a bank,” said Kevin. “I love learning what drives business owners and entrepreneurs. Growing up in a family that owned multiple businesses in Abilene, I saw firsthand the sacrifices and dedication it takes to succeed. That’s why I’m passionate about helping businesses thrive and ensuring they have the right financial resources to grow.”

A Vision for Business Banking in Manhattan

As the Market President for ESB Financial in Manhattan, Kevin is eager to expand the bank’s reach and enhance its support for local businesses and the broader community. His leadership will focus on providing personalized financial solutions that align with ESB Financial’s commitment to relationship-based banking.

“Our team at ESB Financial in Manhattan will be dedicated to helping our clients achieve their dreams—whether that’s purchasing a first home, launching a new business, or expanding an existing one,” Kevin shared. “At ESB Financial, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we tailor our products and services to fit the unique needs of our clients.”

Kevin also recognizes the importance of community involvement and plans to be an active presence in Manhattan. “Building relationships goes beyond the bank walls. I’m excited to engage with local organizations, strengthen partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce, and find ways to give back to the community through volunteering and outreach efforts,” he said.

Expanding ESB Financial’s Presence in Manhattan

Since opening in 2006, ESB Financial has steadily grown its presence in Manhattan. Kevin sees significant opportunities to expand the bank’s footprint and deepen its engagement with local businesses.

“ESB Financial has been part of the Manhattan community for nearly two decades, and we’re excited to enhance our role as a trusted financial partner,” Kevin explained. “Our goal is to increase community outreach, strengthen local partnerships, and support the businesses that make this city thrive.”

A Personal Connection to Manhattan

A Kansas State University graduate, Kevin is thrilled to be back in Manhattan—a place that holds special meaning for him and his family. He is a dedicated K-State athletics fan, he’s looking forward to attending as many games as possible. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys fitness, weightlifting, and traveling with his wife.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be here,” Kevin said. “Manhattan is a great place to live, work, and do business, and I’m looking forward to getting to know the people and businesses that make this community special.”

Connecting with Kevin & the ESB Manhattan Team

Kevin encourages local businesses and community members to connect with him—whether by stopping by ESB Financial’s Manhattan Bank, reaching out via phone or email, or catching him at a local event.

“I plan to be out in the community as often as possible,” Kevin said. “My clients will always have my direct contact information, and I’m available anytime to support them and their businesses.”

ESB Financial invites the Manhattan community to welcome Kevin Sweatland and looks forward to the continued growth and success of the bank under his leadership.
